October Fishing
Extension
The Dee
District Salmon Fishery Board has applied for a permanent
extension to the season to 15th October and the results of that
process,
which involves
public consultation, will be announced in due course. As you know the District
Salmon Fishery Board has been monitoring the
effects of October
fishing over the last 3 years and their final report has been published and is
available at the following website address.
In summary the report concluded that the October
fishery did no measurable harm to the stock.
